Ministry of Upholstery Classic Footstool
Make a Footstool in a Day
Our Classic Footstool Workshop, in collaboration with The Ministry of Upholstery, (featured on BBC1’s Money for Nothing) is a one-day creative extravaganza combining upholstery with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint™ techniques to produce a beautiful footstool to take home.
You will start the day with a solid hardwood frame, and be taken through each of the stages to create a footstool learning about the tools and materials, as well as techniques from webbing, applying hessian and wadding, cutting fabric and corners.
You will also be introduced to Annie Sloan Chalk Paint™, choosing from the palette of 33 colours to paint the legs of your footstool to complement the fabric.
This is a fun, relaxed and informative workshop containing lots of upholstery techniques that once mastered is extremely satisfying and produces great results. If you’re already a fan of Chalk Paint™ it will inspire you to take your skills in a new direction with the endless possibilities for upcycling furniture.
Everything for the workshop is provided, along with lunch and refreshments, just bring 1 metre fabric.
