Ivory&Pitch began as a kernel of an idea in 2011 when Caroline had the opportunity to take over the premises at No. 6 The Grove in the village of Westbourne and turn a long held ambition for opening a home interiors store into a reality. With 20 years’ experience of running her own interior design business, Caroline channelled a passion for beautiful things and opened the doors of her stylish homewares store for modern country and urban interiors, where inspiration has always been the watch-word.

The store is a treasure trove of original finds and ideas that you won’t find elsewhere. It’s evocative of an old fashioned hardware store with a counter and bell, mixed with industrial pendant lights for a modern twist. This defines Caroline’s signature style which runs through the range of vintage and modern homewares, where brushes and brooms look effortlessly stylish against cool ceramics, antique linens, furniture and lighting – looks which are made accessible for customers to create for themselves at home.

Since opening, 6 years ago, Ivory&Pitch continues to evolve with fresh inspiration. The range of creative workshops grows, with the ever popular Annie Sloan Chalk Paint™ workshop, the Make a Footstool in a Day workshop and The Scandi-Style Mid Century Stool course, both set up in collaboration with The Ministry of Upholstery, plus seasonal workshops which you can hear about through the newsletters or website. The website has been relaunched for online shopping, which means that the store really is ‘open all hours’.  Ivory&Pitch is also a member of Trouva, the online retail shopping community for ‘bricks & mortar’ stores.  There’s no substitute for visiting the shop, but this is the next best thing.
